Grandparents' Feedback: Celebrating Learning and Family Connections at Turramurra Kindergarten
Grandparents' Day at Turramurra Kindergarten was a wonderful opportunity for families to spend time together and experience a little of what happens in our kindergarten every day.
Following the celebration, we were especially grateful to hear the positive feedback shared by our grandparents. Two things stood out: how much they enjoyed seeing the children's learning journey and how welcomed they felt by our educators.
Discovering Children's Learning Journey
One of the highlights for grandparents was exploring the learning displays throughout our kindergarten.
Through photographs, children's work and written learning stories, they could see what their grandchildren had been involved in, from classroom projects and special events to sustainability activities.
These displays help make children's learning visible, giving families a better understanding of the experiences, discoveries and interests that shape each child's day.
Grandparents particularly enjoyed reading the stories behind the photographs and seeing how their grandchildren participate in different learning experiences.
Friendly Educators and a Welcoming Environment
Another piece of feedback was about the warm welcome they received from our educators.
Our team took the time to greet grandparents, connect with them and share updates about what their grandchildren had been doing at kindergarten.
It was lovely to hear that grandparents felt comfortable, happy and reassured by the care and communication provided by our educators.
At Turramurra Kindergarten, we believe positive relationships with families are an important part of creating a supportive early learning community.
Building Strong Connections Between Generations
We value opportunities for grandparents and extended family members to become part of our kindergarten community.
