Meet Miss Maria: From Midwifery to Early Childhood Education at Turramurra Kindergarten
At Turramurra Kindergarten, our educators bring a variety of experiences, backgrounds and passions to their work with children. Today, we're delighted to introduce Miss Maria, one of the newest members of our team!
Originally from Argentina, Maria brings a unique professional background and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and development.
From Midwifery to Early Learning
Before beginning her journey in early childhood education, Maria worked as a midwife in Argentina for more than 10 years. Her previous career gave her valuable experience supporting families during important stages of life.
Maria has since spent two years working in childcare, where she has discovered the joy of being part of children's everyday learning experiences and watching them develop over time.
Supporting Every Child's Growth and Personality
One of the things Maria loves most about working with children is seeing how they grow, learn and develop their own personalities.
The early years are an important time for children to explore the world around them, build relationships, develop confidence and discover their individual interests. Maria enjoys being part of this journey and helping children develop skills that will support them as they move into the future.
Every child develops at their own pace, and having caring educators who recognise and encourage their individual strengths can make a meaningful difference to their early learning experience.

As Maria settles into her new role at Turramurra Kindergarten, she is looking forward to meeting our families and building positive, trusting relationships with them.
