Turramurra Kindergarten was delighted to host a successful School Readiness Night, bringing together families, educators, and local schools to support children as they prepare for one of the biggest milestones in their early learning journey.

The evening provided parents with practical advice, valuable insights, and the opportunity to ask questions about what school readiness looks like in today's classrooms.

Learning from Local Schools

We were honoured to welcome representatives from Pymble Ladies' College and Wahroonga Public School, who shared their perspectives on helping children transition confidently into primary school.

A special thank you to Kate Brown, Head of Junior School at Pymble Ladies' College, for speaking about the importance of nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, while highlighting the strong partnership between schools and families.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Tara Smith from Wahroonga Public School for sharing practical insights into supporting children as they begin their school journey.

Supporting Families Through the Transition

Starting school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring many questions for parents. Throughout the evening, families gained a better understanding of the social, emotional, and learning skills that help children transition successfully into school.

The event also encouraged meaningful conversations between parents, educators, and school representatives, giving families the confidence to support their children during this important stage.

Thank You to Our Community

We would like to thank all the families who attended and contributed to such a positive and engaging evening.

At Turramurra Kindergarten, we believe school readiness is a shared journey. By working together with families and local schools, we can help every child build the confidence, independence, and skills they need for a successful start to school.

We look forward to hosting more community events that continue to support our children and families.
